Charles Franklin Sebring, 79, of Evansdale, died at home on Sunday, August 23, 2015. He was born December 9, 1935 in Boone, Iowa, the son of Frank and Mary (Parrish) Sebring. Charles married Jacqueline Parks on February 10, 1957 in Boone. He was a graduate of Boone High School. Charles was owner of Waterloo Drywall Company for many years. He then worked at Hudson Construction for many years, retiring in 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Sebring, of Evansdale; one son, Ricky (Nikki Roe) Sebring of Waterloo; one daughter, Cindy (Carey) Shupe of Independence, Iowa; numerous grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Dale Sebring of Lafayette, Colorado, and five sisters, Phyllis George of Ankeny, Iowa, Carol (James) Sigler of Chicago, Illinois, Janice Carlson of Ankeny, Mary Ellen (Darell) Hubby of Story City, Iowa, and Nancy (Ray) Carpenter of Boone.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Craig Sebring, and three brothers, Richard, Jerry and David Sebring.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with inurnment at Garden of Memories in Waterloo at a later date.
