Biography--

Dorothy B. Anderson, 92, of Waterloo, died at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, on Saturday, May 16, 2015.

Dorothy was born on June 20, 1922 in Unionville, MO, the daughter of Pearl R. & Blanche Richardson Arnaman.

She graduated high school in Laurel, Iowa.

Dorothy married Earl S. Anderson on June 16, 1946 in Waterloo. He died April 1, 2008.

She was member of member of Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Dorothy was known for always being there for her family and friends. She never missed any of her boys’ sporting events. She loved spending time with her family and they always came first. She enjoyed her family’s dogs and watching Iowa Hawkeyes football. Dorothy’s fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and homemade gravy were Sunday favorites in her household.

She is survived by three sons: Steven (Laurie) Anderson of Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, Mark Anderson of Waterloo, and Brett (Jeanne) Anderson of Dubuque; four grandchildren: Shelly Anderson of Waterloo, Casey Anderson of Dubuque, Kristi (Jared) Robb of Rochester, Minnesota, and Riley Anderson of Waverly; two sisters, Juanita (Jim) Morkel of Waterloo and Lucille (Robert) Kline of Denver, Colorado; and a brother, Harold (Better) Arnaman.

Preceded in death by: two sisters, Phyllis Fernau and Melba O'Neill; and a daughter-in-law, Kim A. Anderson.
