5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 at La Porte City Funeral Home and also one hour before the service at the church.

Cemetery:
Inurnment at West View Cemetery, La Porte City.

Biography--

Herb M. Clark, 85, of Marion, formerly of La Porte City, died Monday, June 8, 2015 at The Villages at Marion of natural causes. He was born October 2, 1929 in Brandon the son of Milfred and Ella Mae (Brallier) Clark. He married Nickolina “Nicki” Burch on May 15, 1948 in Pontiac, Michigan; she preceded him in death on August 30, 2014.

Herb had worked as a Tool & Die maker at John Deere for 36 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member and Committeeman of the Local 838 and Past Chairman of The John Deere Council for 8 years.

He is survived by one son, Tim (Denise) Clark of Johnston; one daughter, Pamela Clark of Coggon; six grandchildren, Matthew (Rachel) Clark, Emily Clark, Robert (Ruth) Hojka, Eric Hojka), Laura (Andrew) Wenger-Rommann, Lisa (Roy) Foster; twelve great-grandchildren and one brother, Stanley (Judy) Clark of Independence.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nicki; one infant son; three brothers: Merlin, Floyd and Kessler Clark and two sisters, Leona Bourne and Deloris Kramer.
