Visitation:
Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel. Also for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

Garden of Memories, Waterloo

Biography--

Shirley D. Demry, 78, of Evansdale, died Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Western Home Martin Center.

She was born August 7, 1937 in Palmyra, MO the daughter of George and Loretta (Ulry) Deeds. She was a graduate of Springfield, Missouri, High School and attended Southwest Missouri University. She married James O. Demry, Sr. on August 4, 1956 in Springfield, Missouri; he preceded her in death on January 5, 2013.

She worked in food service for Waterloo Community Schools at Elk Run Elementary for many years. She enjoyed visiting with friends, camping, travel and family time.

She is survived by a son, James O. Demry, Jr. of Evansdale; a daughter-in-law, Staci Jackson of Waterloo; one son-in-law, Greg Bunger of Waterloo; one daughter, Judith (Tony) Mungor of Evansdale; three grandchildren, Billy Demry (Abby Dawson) of Elk Run Heights, Amy Schell (Matthew Conklin) of Denver, Sara (Justin) Ostdahl of Waterloo; three great grandchildren and one on the way; one brother, Everett (Carolyn) Deeds of Springfield, MO; one sister, Doris (Larry) Flint of Clayton, IL and two sisters-in-law, Carole (Howard) Swearengin of Boliver, MO and Betty (Jim) Routh of Springfield, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and three brothers, Jimmy, Roy, and George Deeds, Jr.
