James Earl Owen, Jr.

James Earl Owen, Jr. was born June 22, 1960 in Waterloo, Iowa: the son of James and Marilyn (McMahon) Owen, Sr. He was married to Jean Dellinger on March 15, 1993; they later divorced, but remained together. Jim worked in home maintenance with Martin Home Maintenance until becoming disabled. He loved fishing and hunting, but mostly loved his family, friends and dogs. He enjoyed rocking out to music in the garage.

Jim passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Unity Point Health Allen Memorial Hospital at the age of 54.

He was preceded in death by his father; stillborn triplets; a brother Tommy Owen; a sister Linda Card and a nephew Ryan Blair.

James is survived by his mother Marilyn Owen of Denver; a daughter Amanda Owen of Waterloo; a stepson Curtis (Rachel) Dellinger of Waterloo; his significant other Jean Owen of Waterloo; three grandchildren: Owen, Ellie and Mady Dellinger and a niece Marilyn Card of Webster City. Jim will be missed by all who knew him.
