Richard Lee Webbeking was born September 22, 1941 in Waterloo, Iowa, son of Otto and Verna (Uhl) Webbeking. He graduated from Waterloo West High school. Richard worked at John Deere as a machinist from March 18, 1974 – December 31, 2010. He met Debbie Angle while she was visiting her sister and brother-in-law near Hudson and the two were married November 15, 1975 in Flint, Michigan. Richard loved trains and race cars! He built engines for Kyle Petty and Bobby Allison and worked in Bobby’s pit crew.

Richard passed away at the age of 74 years in his home in Waterloo, from natural causes. He was preceded in death by his parents. Richard is survived by his wife, Debbie; son, Karl Webbeking of Waterloo; daughter, Katie Webbeking of Waverly; granddaughter Kayla Wolter; sister, Sylvia Meyer of DeWitt, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly by those who loved him.
