Agnes Olinger

June 9, 1921 - November 7, 2014

Agnes Elizabeth Olinger was born June 9, 1921 in Waterloo, Iowa: the daughter of Peter and Mary (Erbe) McEnany. She was raised in Waterloo and attended Edison School and Sacred Heart.

Agnes was united in marriage to Francis Olinger on October 19, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1989. She worked at Hinson’s and Power’s Manufacturing as a sewing operator, retiring in 1985. Agnes loved to reminisce about her childhood home on Duryea Street, which is now the site of the John Deere T 10 building.

Agnes passed away on Friday, November 07, 2014 at NorthCrest Specialty Care at the age of 93. She is preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sisters: Genevieve Richmond and Evangeline Alexander.

Agnes is survived by four daughters: Carol (Jack) Hook of Peoria, Arizona, Diana Olinger of Waterloo, Jane (Richard) Hartley of Waterloo and Donna (Fred) Eilers of Waterloo; by six grandchildren: Scott, Tiffany, Misty, Elizabeth, Leslie and Crystal; by 16 great-grandchildren; and by her twin brother Edward McEnany of Waterloo.
