March 8, 1938 - December 29, 2014

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Harold G. Steffy, 76, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, December 29, 2014, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 8, 1938, in Boone, Iowa, son of James E. and Marie G. (Ball) Steffy. He married Brenda M. Schoneman on November 25, 1961 in Cedar Falls.

He graduated from Boone High School in 1956 and served in the United States Navy. He was employed with Chamberlain Manufacturing for 35 years, and retired in 2000 from Black Hawk Engineering.

He is survived by his wife of Cedar Falls; three sons: James (Susan) of Cedar Falls; Troy (Arleen Kugler) of Waterloo and Trent (Mary) of St. Louis Park, MN; nine grandchildren: J. Spencer (Chelsea), Stuart and Stratton Steffy, Heather (Joel) Anderson, Michelle (Bobby) Cook, Stephanie (Amer Mahmutovic) Steffy, Kailey Gronoski, Grace and Samuel Steffy; and three great-grandchildren: Hayden and Kendall Anderson, and Sasha Mahmutovic.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Steffy; and three sisters: Caroline Robinson, Helen Havis and Leona DiNoto.

A visitation is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
