Obituary for Debra Kay Wrage
CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Debra Kay “Debbie” Wrage, 60, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, January 11, 2015, at UPH-Allen Memorial Hospital, of cancer.
She was born December 9, 1954, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, daughter of Wilber “Bill” and Marjorie Roster Benham. She married Gregory Becker on January 20, 1973 and they later divorced. She married Steven Wrage on December 9, 1988 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
She graduated from Janesville High School in 1973 and Business Institute of Technology in 1986. She was a commodity broker with Commodity Hedgers and Traders, Inc. and then Oster Communications. Most recently she was a hostess and server with the Cedar Falls Women’s Club. She was a member of Cedar Bible Church, Cedar Falls. She was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Steve of Cedar Falls; her mother, Marjorie Roster Blickenderfer of Waterloo; two daughters, Kari (John) Bonnet of East Dubuque, IL, and Tia (Chad) Case of Shell Rock; one son, Axel Wrage of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren: Walter, Grant, Samuel and Lilly Bonnet, Cloey and Remington Case; two sisters, Marguerite “Dete” Debower of Cedar Falls and Christy Patterson of Gainesville, GA; and two brothers, Robin Benham of Parkersburg and Jeff Benham of Alexandria, IN.
Preceded in death by her father, Wilber “Bill” Benham; three brothers: Biff Allen, Scott, and Shawn Benham; and a grandson, Kye Case.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Janesville Riviera Roose Community Center, with burial in Washington Chapel Cemetery, rural Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls and for one hour prior to services Saturday.
