Obituary for Margo Henderson

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Margo J. Henderson, 75, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Rochester Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota.

She was born May 19, 1939 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, daughter of Robert and Jean (Graham) Johnson. She married John Henderson on August 18, 1962 in Cedar Falls.

She earned her BA degree from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, and was a teacher at Orchard Hill School. She also was a quilter and employed with Hancock Fabrics.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Chris (Karen) of Johnston, and Matt (Jenny) of Iowa City; a daughter, Jenny (Craig) Ritchie of Vineland, NJ; eight grandchildren: Isabel, Grace and Lily Henderson, Joshua, Caleb and Katie Ritchie, Alex and Grant Henderson; a brother, Peter (Kathy) Johnson of Robertsdale, AL; and a sister, Susan (Dave) Devitt of Langley, BC.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services: 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Heights Baptist Church, Cedar Falls with visitation for one hour prior to services.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Falls Public Library or the endowment fund at Cedar Falls Community Foundation.
