Obituary for Norine A. Weires

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Norine A. Weires, 93, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born May 31, 1921 on the family farm near Columbus, NE, the daughter of Anton and Amelia Boro Micek. She married Dr. Michael Charles Weires May 2, 1953 in Columbus, NE. He died February 2, 2006.

She graduated from Kramer High School in Columbus, Nebraska, and attended and worked at the University of Chicago. Her adult life she was a homemaker.

Survived by: her daughter, Michelle T. (Steven) Langenwalter of Cedar Falls; five sons, Michael A. (Becky) of Boise, ID, Patrick J. of Waterloo, Thomas G. of Cedar Falls, Robert C. (Karen) of Henderson, NV, and William P. (Patty) of Boise, ID; ten grandchildren, Patty Krueger, Robert and Stephanie Langenwalter, Taylor (Afton) Dixon, Nicholas, Riker, Kali, Collin and Paxon Weires, and Bailey Brown; three great grandchildren, Adriyana Krueger, Quincy Rains, and Davin Dixon; and two sisters, Patty (Ron) Hodges of Bethel Park, PA and Betty Dickson of Omaha, NE; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded by: sister, Donna M. Crebbin and an infant brother.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with interment in the Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Richardson Funeral Service where there will be a 3:45 p.m. Rosary. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Patrick Catholic Church Campaign for Growth.

She was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and particularly devoted to her family, friends and the rosary.
