Niles F. Naaktgeboren (1954-2015)

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Niles F. Naaktgeboren, 61, of Cedar Falls died Wednesday, May 13, 2015.

He was born March 19, 1954, in St. Paul, Minn., son of Fredrick John and Mary Jane (McDonald) Naaktgeboren. He married Lori Graham on October 25, 1997 in Cedar Falls.

He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1972 and earned his BS degree in Environmental Planning from the University of Northern Iowa. He was a lifelong musician and a local painter.

He is survived by his wife, Lori of Cedar Falls; his mother, Mary Naaktgeboren of Godfrey, IL; a sister, Connie (Robert) Trotter of Johnston; a brother, William (Candace) Naaktgeboren of Cedar Falls; nieces, Cassie (Ryan Pearson) Naaktgeboren of Brooklyn, NY and Carly Naaktgeboren of Iowa City; and two nephews, Scott (Heather) Trotter of Johns Creek, GA, and Steven Trotter of North Miami, FL.

Niles was preceded in death by his father.

A Time of Remembrance will be held 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Hartman Reserve Interpretive Center (657 Reserve Drive, Cedar Falls). Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.
