John T. Wagner (1947-2015)

WATERLOO, IOWA - John T. Wagner, 68, of Waterloo died Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at his home.

He was born February 11, 1947 in Ankeny, Iowa, son of Walter John and Ida June (Burdick) Wagner.

He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1965 and earned a BA in Education from the University of Northern Iowa in 1969. He taught Business and Economics at Waterloo East and Waterloo Central schools. He coached football at Waterloo East High School and was an official for high school and college basketball. He was later a realtor in the metro area.

He is survived by a daughter, Angela (Kevin Loughren) Wagner-Loughren of Cedar Falls; a son, Ben (Steve Dahlstrom) Wagner of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren, Abigail and Claire Wilder; and a sister, Joyce Davids of Marion, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

No services are being held at this time.

Memorials may be directed to the Waterloo Community School District.
