Obituary for George Warren Troupe

Dike, Iowa – George Warren Troupe, age 65, of Dike, died Friday, August 21, at his brothers home in Waterloo.

George was born February 28, 1950, son of Ross Sr. and Amy Hicks Troupe in Waterloo, Iowa. He attended Waterloo East High School, until entering the Army to serve during the Vietnam War. On August 18, 1975 he married Connie Hall in Waterloo. He worked as a truck driver for Farmers Co-operative Company in Dike, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, son Justin Troupe of Waterloo, daughters Valarie Troupe of Readlyn, Sarah Troupe of Waterloo and Jennifer Troupe of Oelwein; 13 grandchildren; brothers LeRoy of Burbank, California, Ross Jr. of West Liberty, and Bruce of Waterloo; sisters Karin Barfels of Waterloo, and Mary Wagner of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Katherine Stone.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, at Richardson Funeral Service, with visitation on Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa. Military Honors provided by AMVETS post #49.
