James T. Eastlick

June 10, 1934 - December 28, 2014

James T. Eastlick, 80, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Sunday, December 28 at Covenant Medical Center, in Waterloo.

He was born June 10, 1934, in Albia, son of Randall and Katherine Murphy Eastlick. He married Eileen Sigler, June 11, 1955, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waterloo.

James was employed as a meat cutter at the Big T Grocery Store, then with Peterson Seed Company and later with Community Builders until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Eileen; a daughter, Teri (Dale) Blaha of Cedar Rapids; a grandson, Sean Blaha of Cedar Rapids and a granddaughter, Sarah Blaha of Ankeny.

Preceded in death by: his parents, Randall Eastlick and Katherine Murphy Eastlick; and a sister, Phyllis Fischels.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday at Hagarty – Waychoff – Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway where there will be a 6 pm vigil service. Visitation will continue for an hour before services at the church on Saturday.

James enjoyed his group of friends, golfing and get-togethers with either family or friends. He taught us that unconditional love is something everyone needs. May we share the wisdom of his heart. He was a wonderful husband and father who had deep faith in God. His family thanks you for the part you played in his life.
