Larry James Schuler, Sr.

January 21, 1940 - January 20, 2015

Larry J. Schuler, Sr., 74, died Tuesday, January 20 at Unity Point Health Allen Hospital, Waterloo, Iowa.

He was born January 21, 1940 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Chester J. and Eunice M. Lawless Schuler, Sr.

He retired as a brick layer and foreman for J. T. Thorpe.

He is survived by a son, Larry J. (Tiffany) Schuler, Jr. of Rogersville, Missouri; a daughter, Venus L. (Michael) Ugolini of Springfield, Mo; his partner in love, Valoy Eilers of Waverly; four grandchildren, Michael J., Christopher A. and Ashley N. Schuler, Nicholas J. Ugolini; a great-grandchild, Kadence Marie; two brothers, Chester (Judy) Schuler, Jr. of Waterloo and David Schuler of Cedar Falls; a sister, Jeannie Schuler of Dunkerton.

He was preceded in death by a son, Paul Williams Murrain and two brothers, Ronald and Michael.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Public visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday and one hour preceding services on Friday.

Memorials may be made to the family.
