Lucy Josephine Renner

February 14, 1932 - March 28, 2015

Lucy Renner, 83, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, March 28, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Falls.

She was born February 14, 1932, in Burton, Kansas, the daughter of Lige and Ruth Roberts Vaden. She married Russell E. Renner on October 30, 1951 in Burton, Kan. He died January 30, 2009.

Lucy graduated from Burton High School in Kansas and went on to work as a nurse’s aide in the Bremer County Nursing Home and the Tripoli Nursing Home until her retirement.

Survivors include: two sons, Jeffrey (Deb) of Denison, Iowa and Edward (Diane Seitz) of Lansing, Iowa; two daughters, Lou Ann (Jerry) Culver and Ruth Renner both of Waterloo; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her parents; two sons, Terry Renner and Russell Alan Renner; her sister, Patricia Holder.

Family directed memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Seventh-day Adventist Church on Airline Hwy., Waterloo.
Public visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. preceding services at the church on Saturday.

Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street assisted the family.
