Warren D. Turner

May 12, 1922 - April 4, 2015

Warren D. Turner, 92, of Windermere, Western Home Communities, Cedar Falls,, formerly of Hudson, died Saturday, April 4 at his home of natural causes.

He was born May 12, 1922 in Traer, Iowa, son of Hugh and Sarah Boodle Turner. He married Emma Mae Young June 20, 1948 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua and she preceded him in death.

Warren was employed with John Deere for 32 years, retiring in 1983.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Ann (Allen) Reisinger of Virginia Beach, Va. and Kathy Sue (Jerry) Halupnick of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Galt Turner and two sisters, Irene Stolnacke and Mary Chizek.

Services will be 10 am Saturday at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Hudson, with burial in Westview Cemetery, La Porte City. Public visitation will be from 4-7 pm Friday at Hagarty – Waychoff – Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway in Waterloo and for an hour before services at the church on Saturday.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Warren had a passion for all sports, including golf and pool. His family was everything to him, especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
