James Richard Hayes

February 10, 1959 - April 5, 2015

James Richard Hayes, 56, of Denver, passed away, Sunday, April 5, at Allen Memorial Hospital.

He was born February 10, 1959, in Waterloo, the son of James K. and Elizabeth Smith Hayes. He married Paula Dean on May 31, 1991 in Waterloo.

James was a self- employed rental property manager and also owned and operated Back Alley Laundromat in Denver.

Survivors include: his wife, Paula of Denver; his father, James K. (Donna) of Peoria, Ariz; three sons, Ryan Cooper, Samuel (Kacie Coon) Hayes all of Waterloo and Eric Cooper of Denver; two grandchildren, Joseph and Jack Hayes; a sister, Michelle (William) Runge of Independence.

Preceded in death by: his mother, Elizabeth Hayes and a brother, Anthony Hayes.

Services: 10:30 A.M. Friday, April 10, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4-7 P.M. Thursday and also one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
