Odell Walker

July 31, 1955 - July 14, 2015

Odell Walker, 59, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, July 14 at UnityPoint Health Allen Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 31, 1955 in Marianna, Ark., son of London and Louise Owens Walker.

He married Deborah Smith on August 3, 1983 in Eldorado, Ark.

Odell was employed with John Deere Tractor Mfg. Co. for forty years. He then worked in maintenance at Mt. Village Apts. He played bass guitar for his church, family and friends.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Chanel Walker, Ebonie (Maurice) Walker and Alisha Smith all of Waterloo; three grandchildren, DeCalos Hughes, Tristen Sallis and Reign Gary; five brothers, Johnny (Essie) of Marianna, Ark., London (Gloria) of Waterloo, Carnel of Key West, Fla., Michael (Sue) and Terrance of Waterloo; seven sisters; Doris Ross, Billie Simmons, Erma (Doc) Landfair, and Demetrice (Michael) Graves, all of Waterloo, Vernita (Jessie) Hawkins of Palastine, Ark. and Kitty Walker and Jacqueline Foster, both of Forrest City, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Edna Mobley and three brothers, Harold Ivory, Ocie Walker and Clint Walker.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Temple Baptist Church, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the family.
