Anna Aloysia Hamman

March 21, 1926 - July 15, 2015

Anna Aloysia Hamman, 89, died July 15 at her home of cancer.

She was born March 21, 1926 in Wertach, Germany, daughter of Josef and Magdelin Schilling Dorn. She married Duane Hamman on September 11, 1948 in Wertach, Germany. He died May 26, 2010.

Anna was a lab technician for the City of Waterloo, retiring in 1989.

She is survived by a son, James A. (JoAnn) Hamman of Waterloo; a daughter, Lisa A. (Russ) Heiple of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Maggie Hamman, Leslie Hamman, Jonathon Heiple and Kelsey Heiple; a sister, Hildegard F. Hogan of Abingdon, Maryland and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Josef and Tony.

Services will be Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with entombment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Visitation also one hour preceding services at the church on Monday.
