Biography--

Michelle Richter, 59, of Cedar Falls, died at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Monday, March 23, 2015, following a lengthy illness.

Michelle was born August 12, 1955, in Waterloo, the daughter of Donald and Colette (Aubry) Mosley. She married Brent Hoffert March 1972 in Dubuque, and they later divorced. She married Scott L. Richter August 4, 2001, in Waterloo.

She provided daycare in her home for 31 years. Family was everything to Michelle, she loved her children and was so proud of her grandchildren. Scott was the love of her life, he took such good care of her – and both of them of each other. Michelle would help anyone, she was a caregiver to so many children and their families during her 31 years of home day care, and in the end some were care givers to her. She was a wonderful cook and collected dolls and angels.

She was a member of Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and helped in the nursery.

Survivors include: her husband; son Will DeVoll of Cedar Falls; daughter Joleen Hoffert-Jungling of Aplington; daughter Jenna Hoffert of Cedar Falls; daughter Jessy (Jared) Hueneke of Jesup; step daughter Emily Richter of Waterloo; step son Nick Richter of Waterloo; step‑son Josh Richter of Waterloo; step son Ryan Richter of Waterloo; thirteen grandchildren: Chance, Hunter, Lexie and Sophia Jungling; Charles Jr, Lakin and Lyric Mims; Memphis and Hudson Hueneke; Ryan Richter Jr., Dayton Richter; Taylor Richter and M.J. Small; and brother Gene (Rita) Mosley of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: her parents and her brother Gary Mosley.
