Biography--

Crystal L. Stoner, 85, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Martin Health Center Western Home.

She was born in Walker, Iowa on January 1, 1930 daughter of William “Henry” and Caroline Putnam Reece.

She married Daryl Stoner April 2, 1949, at Central Christian Church, Waterloo. He died June 16, 2001.

She worked as a cashier in Waterloo Community Schools cafeterias for 16 years, retiring in 1993. Crystal was an active member of Grace Reformed Church where she volunteered and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She and Daryl enjoyed fishing at Baby Lake by Hackensack, Minnesota. and traveling. She also enjoyed ceramics, working in the yard, traveling with her sisters, and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most recently, she was involved in the Windy Hill Singers at the Western Home Communities.

She is survived by children: Kenneth (Ann) Stoner of Cedar Falls; Kathleen (Steve) Schoepske of Waverly; Alan (Elizabeth) Stoner of Ann Arbor Michigan. 7 grandchildren: Timothy (Dawn) Stoner, Christopher (Perla) Kellner, Angie (Phil) Lowrey, Jakob Stoner, Ashley (Joshua Kinebrew) Burbanks, Erin (Sean Crum) Stoner, and Haley Stoner. 4 step‑grandchildren: Jay (Pete Dziedzic) Judas; Ryan (Angie) Judas, Nate(Nikki Wilson) Schoepske, and Natalie (Tom) Hart. Brother Roland “Lee” (Nora) Reece of Cedar Rapids, and a sister Yvonne Warren of Orange, California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a great grandson, Sean Lowrey; sisters, Berniece Patterson, Betty Jean Fischel, and Rosalie McAtee.
