Biography--

Marcene L. Graham, 84, of Dunkerton, died at UnityPoint Health–Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines on Thursday, August 20, 2015, following a short illness.

Marcene was born March 7, 1931, in Avon, South Dakota, the daughter of Fred and Nellie Martin. She married Norman D. Graham July 26,1952, in Galena, Illinois; he died April 17, 1974.

She worked as a cook at Covenant Medical Center, Dunkerton Community School and American Legion in Waterloo. Marcene was a hard worker, busy with work and family, but determined to care for her family and friends. She had an easy sense of humor and easily made friends. She enjoyed quilting and knitting and crafts.

Survivors include: daughter Pat (Steve) Slick of Waterloo; two sons, Lee (Deborah) Graham of Seabrook, Texas and Terry (Karen) Graham of Gilbert, Arizona; eight grandchildren: Kim (David) Gahan, David James, Keegan Slick, Ian Graham, Heather Graham, Chrisy (Robert) Twilley, Trista (Wes) Patterson, and Mike (Tracy) Graham; eight great grandchildren: Damon, Mya, Nicholas, Kara, Mason, Brenden, Brooks, and Reagan; and sister-in-law Elaine Martin of Yankton, South Dakota.

Preceded in death by: her husband and two brothers Barney and Ronald Martin.
