SANDPOINT, ID - Service and burial for Elizabeth V. "Betty" Shockey, 96, will be held at a later date in Portland. Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint is in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Shockey, who was born in Dunkerton, Iowa, died Tuesday.

In 1938 she moved to Spokane and in 1942 moved to Portland, where she lived for 54 years.

In 1997 Mrs. Shockey moved into the Alpine Vista Apartments in Sandpoint.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Shockey.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Schoeneberger of Sagle, Idaho; a brother, Dean Guyer of Iowa; three grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
