ANESVILLE - Donald A. Roberts, 81, of Janesville, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at NewAldaya Lifescapes, Cedar Falls.

He was born June 7, 1933, in Cedar Falls, son of Harry and Ida Mae Minikus Roberts. He married Wyona Cooper on Sept. 28, 1953, in Nashua; she died March 26, 2002.

A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Donald worked at Rath Packing Co. for over 30 years until they closed. He also was employed at Roberts Lumber, and retired from the Home Shopping Network, along with raising livestock and in later years horses.

Survived by two sons, Rusty (Terri) and Rick (Jan), both of Janesville; five grandchildren, Cory (Kristy) Roberts of Janesville, Jason (Krystle) Roberts of Cedar Falls, Christopher Roberts of Janesville, and Molly and Lindsey Roberts, both of Waterloo; a great-grandson, Landon Roberts of Janesville; a brother, Albert H. of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Virginia (Jim) Nelson of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by three brothers, J.R., Harold and Wilford.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Full military honors will be provided by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.
