Ed Lundquist, age 89, died Wednesday at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola. Ed was born February 3, 1924, in Corning, Iowa. Family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. Interment will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery with military graveside services by the Davis-Pence Post #69 of the American Legion from Osceola.

Ed was a long time owner of the Highway Lumber Company in Osceola. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WW II, was a 50 year Mason and a member of the Osceola United Methodist Church. Ed and Darlene celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in September 2012.

Ed is survived by his wife Darlene; sons, Jim (Anne) Lundquist of Cedar Falls and Alan (Deb) Lundquist of Osceola; daughter, Nancy (Dale) Carmichael of Corning; AFS son, Frans (Ada) de Mol of Rotterdam, Holland; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
