Elmer Jack* Trimble, 77, of 509 Home Acres, Evansdale, died Tuesday night at University Hospitals, Iowa City.

He was born in Schuyler County, Missouri, Aug. 23, 1886, son of Lee and Adeline Trimble. He farmed in Missouri prior to coming to Waterloo and worked five years at the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works, retiring in 1953.

His first marriage was to Ora Barnes in 1914. She died and he was married Nov. 18, 1950, to Grace Westendorf. She survives as do three sons: Rickie, at home, Emery T. Trimble of Kansas City, Kan., and Burl of 439 East End Ave., Evansdale. There are also two daughters, Mrs. Walter Ford of Glenwood, Mo., and Mrs. Raymond Kenney of Coatsville, Mo.

Other survivors are nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Charles T. Trimble of Coatsville, and Dan of Phoenix, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, parents, and one son.

Funeral services are pending at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Elmer Jack Trimble, 77, of 509 Home Acres, Evansdale, who died Tuesday night, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home. The Rev. Brook Stephens, pastor of First Reformed Church, Evansdale, will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
