Lisa Dawn Helle, 47, of Ely, formerly of Denver, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, of complications of ovarian cancer.

Lisa was born on Dec. 27, 1966, in Waterloo, daughter of Laurance and Dorothy Hambly Fink. She married Steven Helle on Aug. 19, 1989, at St. John Lutheran Church in Denver.

Lisa graduated from Denver High School in 1985 and from the University of Northern Iowa in 1989. She worked from 1992 to 2007 at Wells Fargo, Des Moines, and then at AEGON - Transamerica, Cedar Rapids. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Ely.

Survived by her husband; her mother, of Denver; a brother, Mike Fink of Independence; a sister, Serena (Dana) Andrews of Jesup; her mother-in-law, Rosie Helle; a sister-in-law, Lori (Glen) Ries; and three brothers-in-law, Jeff (Peggy) Helle, Dan (Anna) Helle and Greg Helle.

Preceded in death by her father; her father-in-law, Gregory Helle; and a brother-in-law, David Helle.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church, Denver, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. Visitation will be Thursday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Denver, with a private family service at 3:30 p.m. and greeting of friends from 4 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church, Ely, or the donor’s choice.
