WATERLOO - Robert U. Mohr, 57, of Waterloo, died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home of glioblastoma, brain cancer.

He was born April 8, 1950, in Clinton, son of Harley and Jacqueline Smith Mohr. He married Michelle Ronek April 20, 1984, in Waterloo.

He graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1968 and then served with the U.S. Navy for four years. Mr. Mohr was employed with John Deere as an assembler, retiring in April 2005 after 32 years of service.

He was a ministerial servant and a full-time minister at the Jehovah's Witnesses Virden Creek Congregation. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and scuba diving. Robert loved life.

Survived by his wife, Michelle; his mother, Jacqueline Jepsen of Waterloo; a brother, Greg (Lisa) Jepsen of Blanchardville, Wis.; six sisters, Penny (Harold) Graves and Susan Mohr, both of Waterloo, Susan (Ed) Clark of Maquoketa, Kathy (Gary) Greeson of Sacramento, Calif., Debbie (Ron) Melohn of Dike and Michele (John) Rodriguez of Austin, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father, Harley Mohr; his stepmother, Marjorie Mohr; and a brother, Matthew Mohr.

Services: 4:30 p.m. today at Jehovah's Witnesses Virden Creek Congregation. Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.
