WATERLOO - Frances Schroyer, 94, of Waterloo, died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Aug. 23, 1912, in Reinbeck, daughter of John and Lena Alberts Dirks. She married Derwood K. Schroyer Feb. 3, 1941, in Waterloo. He died Sept. 11, 1984.

She graduated from Reinbeck High School and worked at Hinson Manufacturing for four years and Rath Packing for 25 years, retiring in 1971.

Survived by nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Schlicht and Ruby Verly; and a brother, Volta Davis.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to Walnut Ridge Baptist Academy or Cedar Valley Hospice.
