Verna Mae Klink, 88, a 56 year resident of Hudson, formerly of Marshalltown, died Monday, October 27, 2003 at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center of Natural Causes. Verna was born November 10, 1914 in Grinnell, Iowa the daughter of Grant and Elsie (Breiting) Radcliff. She married Robert W. Klink November 9, 1952 in Hudson.

She owned "Paintin' Place" in Hudson for many years where she taught many friends to do ceramics and doll making. She received awards at the Mid-West Ceramics Show for her porcelain and ceramic painting. Verna had an extensive collection of antiques and antique dolls. Very social, she was in the Hudson American Legion and Hudson AMVETS Auxiliaries and a member of the Hudson Flower Club. Verna enjoyed camping and fishing at Lake Pepin. She loved being with her two dogs- and she loved life in general.

Verna is survived by her husband Robert, 2 sons Walter Hey and wife Lori of Green Bay, WI; Darrell Hey and wife Norma of Red Wing, MN; a daughter Darlene Stark and husband Duane of Washburn; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also by 2 brothers Joe Radcliff and wife Betty of Marshalltown and Jim Radcliff and wife Helen of San Diego, CA; 2 sisters: Roberta Allen and special friend Bill of Marshalltown, and Ethel Replogle of Waverly. As well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters Mary and Lois, a brother Max and his wife Winnie.
