Janet Marie Reicherts, 55, of Dysart, died at home Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, following a sudden illness.

She was born Sept. 4, 1953, in Waterloo, daughter of Lester Glen and Lola M. Cain Gerholdt. She married Russ Reicherts in 1975 in Waterloo, and they later divorced.

Ms. Reicherts graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1971. She was currently employed as the office manager at REMAX, Cedar Rapids. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Dysart.

Survived by two sons, Aaron (Stacey) of Dunkerton and Rick (Katie) of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Dakota and Danielle Reicherts of Dunkerton; her mother of Raymond; four sisters, her twin, Janice (Randea) Dray of Mississippi, Theresa (John) Freese of Raymond, and Sandra (Gene) Walker and Rebecca (Larry) Stansbery, both of Evansdale; and her dog, Molly.

Preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Dan Gerholdt.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Dysart, with burial later in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Overton Funeral Home, Dysart.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Janet was very generous, a loyal volunteer and spent time with her friends in the community. She enjoyed hockey, basketball, crocheting, crafts, working outside in her garden and fishing. But most of all, she loved her friends, family, grandkids and her Sharpeis. Janet will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
