[Waterloo Semi Weekly Courier, Friday, June 24, 1904, Waterloo, Iowa]

Last Sunday evening occurred the death of Mrs. Bauer of hemorrhage of the stomach. 'She had been quite well up to Friday, when she was seized with the fatal disease, and from that time on she seemed to be improving again, but Sunday evening she was again seized with it and expired in but a few moments.

Funeral services were held at the home last Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Zeilinger of the Lutheran church of which deceased was a member, and interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery.

She is survived by ten sons and one daughter, two of the sons still residing in Germany. Margaret ha

Bauer was a daughter of George N. Sollner and Christina Sollner nee Troebs. She was born on the 24th of January, 1843, at Ebersdorf, Oberfrankton, Bayern, and was baptized on the 31st of January the same year. She was confirmed the 6th of April, 1856, after attending school from her sixth year.

In 1862 she was married to Christoph Bauer. Ten sons and one daughter were born to them, all of whom survive her.

In the year 1892 they came lo America and settled in Minnesota and later came to Iowa, to this vicinity, where she has resided ever since. Her husband died in the year 1998 of Bright's disease. Deceased was sixty-one years four months and twenty-four days old at the time of her death. That she had many friends could easily be seen by the large number of people who accompanied the remains to the cemetery. May she rest, in peace.
