WATERLOO - Glenn A. Jones, 88, of the Western Home Communities, Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born May 30, 1926, in Waterloo, son of Orlo R. and Jeanette L. Turnbull Jones. He married Harriet Ann Domer on Aug. 28, 1945, in Edgerton, Wis.; she died Sept. 29, 2010.

Glenn retired from Construction Machinery in 1991 after 44 years, and also Ruan Trucking.

Survived by a son, Glenn II (Karen Plum) of Waterloo; two daughters, Dianne (Larry) Spears Goodrich of Evansdale and Janet (Kevin Buehler) Collins of Waterloo; a son-in-law, Gary Buck of Denver; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two foster children, Lee (Karin) Ostrander of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Margaret (Charles Foster) Repp of Newton; six foster grandchildren; and seven foster great-grandchildren;

Preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Peggy Buck; a brother, Theodore; a sister, Helen Waerenborg; and a son-in-law, Craig Collins

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138, VFW Post 1623 and U.S. Navy Funeral Honors Detail. Visitation from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Waterloo Honor Flight in his name.

Glenn enjoyed flying and four wheeling in the desert in Arizona during the winter.
