DAGE, SMITH, CUMMINGS

Adam Dage, a resident of Blackhawk County for forty-three years, died last night at 8:45 o'clock, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E. J. Smith, two miles south of the city, on thoe Blue House road. The cause of death was paralysis, from which deceased suffered for one week.

Mr. Dage was born in Germany July 18, 1825, being about one month short of eighty years of age. He came to Blackhawk County in the year 1826. Eight years ago his wife died and since that time he has made his home with his daughter.

He leaves two daughters, Mrs. E. J. Smith, with whom he lived, and Mrs. Carrie Cummings, of Carrington, North Dakota.

Mr. Dage was a member of the Dunkard church in Orange Township.
