NEW HARTFORD - Brad Tilman Knight, 33, of Greenville, S.C., formerly of New Hartford, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital, Greenville, of heart failure.

He was born April 17, 1975, in Waterloo, son of Raymond and Marilyn Boe Knight. He attended Jesup High School and was a diesel mechanic at Cedar Valley Corp. and A-Line Iron and Metals.

Survived by his mother of Waterloo; his fiance, Amber Click of Greenville; two children, Gage and Halie Knight, both of Sidney, Mont.; a brother, Raymond (Melissa) of Readlyn; a sister, Kimberly (Ronnie) Lauritzen of Jesup; two nieces, Hannah Knight and Kylie Lauritzen; and a nephew, Braden Knight.

Preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Fred and Mildred Knight, who lived in Locke, N.Y.; and maternal grandparents, Palmer and Agnes Boe, who lived in Decorah.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church, Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, and an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Brad loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hiking, camping, boating and scuba diving. He cherished spending time with his family and friends. A memorial service will be held later in Greenville.
