Matthew J. (Matt) Crawford, 12, of 1029 Belle St. died Saturday, May 31, 2003 at his home.

Matthew was born October 4, 1990 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, the son of Bruce and Brenda (Bagenstos) Crawford.

He just completed 6th grade at Hoover Middle School where he played the bass clarinet in the band. He worked hard to get good grades and was on the honor roll. He liked to play games on his X-Box and Playstation. Matthew was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where he was involved in the church confirmation class making lots of friends and acting in skits. He enjoyed going camping and swimming with his family and watching NASCAR. Matthew aspired to be a stunt man from an early age, he enjoyed riding his bike, and especially pestering his brother and sister Josh and Ashley.

Matthew is survived by his parents; brother Josh; sister Ashley; Paternal Grandparents Sharon and Victor Crawford of Waterloo; Maternal Grandparents Doug and Judy Bagenstos of Waterloo; Paternal Great Grandmother Mary Crawford of Arlington; an Aunt Lisa Crawford of Waterloo; two uncles: Mark Bagenstos and his wife Jeanne of Parkersburg and Clint Bagenstos and his wife Jenny of Waterloo; and six cousins.
