WATERLOO - Mildred D. "Millie" Berry, 77, of Waterloo, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at La Porte City Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was born April 6, 1931, in Rowley, daughter of Harold and Clara Siglin Bishop. She married Donald G. Berry on Nov. 25, 1950, in Waterloo. He died Dec. 24, 2008.

Mrs. Berry graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1948 and worked as a bindery clerk in advertising at Control O Fax from 1969 to 1996. She was a member and past elder and deacon of First Presbyterian Church.

Survived by two daughters, Sheryl Lynn Berry of Waterloo and Sandra (Troy) Berry Knoop of Mahomet, Ill.; a son, Steven (Kendra) of Dewar; seven grandchildren, Matthew Berry, Cody Berry, Leslie Ellsworth, Nicholas Ellsworth, Michael Knoop, Jonah BerryKnoop and Josiah BerryKnoop; two sisters, Dorothy Potts of Grundy Center and Margie (Carl) Scheuerman of Benton City, Wash.; four brothers, J. Robert (Jane) Bishop of Portland, Ore., H. Richard (Audrey) Bishop and James L. (Sue) Bishop, both of Oshkosh, Wis., and Dean (Linda) Bishop of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Susan Jean Berry; and two sisters, Shirley Smith and Norma Busch.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial following cremation in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
