WATERLOO - Estella E. Willard, 89, of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 28, 1917, in Bancroft, daughter of John Henry and Jenny Hoeck Schueler. She married Edward Willard on Dec. 6, 1949, in Preston, Minn. He died in 1965.

Mrs. Willard was a ship welder during World War II in Oakland, Calif., and worked various other jobs. She was a 50-year member of Order of the Eastern Star Waterloo Chapter 128.

Survivors include five sons, Thomas (Vicki) Schueler of Cedar Falls, Larry (fiancé Ruth) Schueler, Dell (Leanne) Willard and Kevin (Janet) Willard, all of Waterloo, and Craig Willard of Iowa City; a daughter, Nettie Treloar of Waterloo; a stepson, Duane Willard of California; a stepdaughter, Darlene Beasley of Nevada; 36 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Hammond of Swea City.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Geneva Willard; four stepsons, Virgil, Robert, Vance and Charles Willard; a stepdaughter, Sharon Enos; three brothers, George, Albert and John Schueler Jr.; and two sisters, Emma Behrends and Milda Morgensen.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a 5 p.m. Order of the Eastern Star service.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
