Mrs. Ida M. Garrabrant, 84, died at 6:15 a.m. Monday at the McCready Rest Home, after a lingering illness of an edema condition.

She was born in Washburn, Jan. 5, 1877, the daughter of Jim and Emma Benedom. She married Ira Garrabrant Feb. 5, 1898. Her husband died in 1932.

Mrs. Garrabrant attended the Burton Avenue Baptist Church and was a member of the Fire Fighters Auxiliary, Local 66.

She is survived by one son, Ray Garrabrant, of 824 Burton Ave.; two brothers, Dave Benedom, of Forsyth, Mo., and George Benedom, of San Marcus, Calif., two granddaughters and four great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Friends may call at the Locke Funeral Home until noon, Wednesday. Funeral services are pending at the funeral home.
