WATERLOO - Millicent A. Horslund, 88, of Waterloo, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, at Covenant Medical Center of a heart attack.

She was born Sept. 16, 1925, in Waterloo, daughter of Everette and Aline Moritz Jacobs.

A 1943 graduate of Waterloo West High School, Millicent worked for many years as manager at the Homestead House, retiring in 2010.

Survived by two daughters, Christine (Bill) Sparrgrove of Fort Myers, Fla., and Cindy (Danny) Michael of Waterloo; two sons, Joel of Waterloo and Jeff (Barrie) of Tucson, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Wayne Jacobs

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Heights Community Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls, with inurnment later in Elmwood Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
