WATERLOO - Donna Mae Ginther, 74, of Waterloo, formerly of Hazleton, died Saturday, July 5, 2008, at ManorCare Nursing and Rehab Center, following a brief illness.

She was born March 5, 1934, in Decorah, daughter of Doris L. Currier. She married Eugene M. Ginther on Sept. 30, 1951, at Little Brown Church, Nashua. He died April 12, 1995.

Mrs. Ginther and her husband owned and operated the G&D Cafe in Hazleton for many years. She later worked at the Goodwill store in Oelwein for 11 years. She had been a resident of Waterloo for the past four years.

Survived by two daughters, Shelby (Ty) Wright of Aurora and Sharlyn (John) Reiter of Ocala, Fla.; two sons, Keith (Carol) of Elk Run Heights and Kory (Kim) of Hazleton; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Kenny in 1975; a grandson, Jasson Reiter in 1984; and two brothers, Greg and Gary Fry.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, with burial in Hazleton (Fontana Addition) Cemetery, Hazleton. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today and an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial fund has been established in her name.
