CEDAR FALLS - Darlyne M. Walbaum, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Waverly.

She was born Feb. 27, 1916, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Thorvold and Verna Jepperson Christensen. She married Herman Walbaum on Nov. 4, 1935, in Galena, Ill. He died Jan. 31, 1999.

She was a homemaker.

Survived by a daughter, Janyce (Don) Willhite of Cedar Falls; a son, Donald (Sharon) of Lakeside, Calif.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Strein; and a grandson.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community Chapel, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg. Public visitation for an hour before services Monday at the chapel. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
