Michael C. Reddin, 80, who made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Riedel, 428 Conger Street died at 7:20 p. m. Thursday at his home from the effects of pneumonia.

He was born Nov. 1, 1868, at St. Catherine's, Dubuque county, la., the son of Michael and Mary Ann Reddin.

In February, 1893, he married Cecelia Gillespie at St. Catherine's. She preceded him in death in 1900. In October, 1902, he married Annie O'Connell at Lamotte, Ia. She preceded him in death in 1946.

Mr. Reddin came to Waterloo in 1903 and was employed by various Waterloo firms. He has been retired for the past several years.

Surviving are two sons, Melville, of Dubuque, and Earl of Cogswell, N. D.; four daughters: Mrs. Ethel Bush, Cudahy, Wis., Mrs. Martha Pins, Grand Rapids, Mich, Mrs. Lauretta Albrecht, 1033 Home Park Boulevard, and Mrs. Riedel. Also surviving are one brother, J. T. Reddin, Dubuque; three sisters: Mrs. Mae Mitchell, Lamotte. Mrs. Mate Daniels, Atlanta, Ga.. and Mrs. Gertrude MacDaniels, Ft. Lambton, Ontario, Canada; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son.

Mr. Reddin was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Holy Name society, and St. Joseph's Court of the Catholic Order of Foresters

The body is at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home, where final arrangements are being completed.
