Larry "Butch" Ellis, 66, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, formerly of Finchford, Iowa, died Friday, September 5, 2008 at the Cedar Falls Healthcare Center of Cancer.

He was born July 28, 1942 in Carroll, Iowa the son of Donald and Muriel (Quistorff) Ellis. He married Jeneane Fahrer, and they later divorced. He married Tammy Frandsen Henderson, and they later divorced.

Larry retired as Greenhouse Manager in 2004, after forty years of employment with Frink's Greenhouse.

He is survived by three daughters, Melissa Ellis of Waterloo, Iowa, Kristi (David) Glawe of Atkins, Iowa and Teesha Ellis of Waterloo; a stepdaughter, Heather Henderson of Atkins; two grandchildren, Murphy and Ana Glawe; three step grandchildren, Lathan Cooper, Tanasiah Walker and Taylor Robinson; two brothers, Jody Ellis of Cedar Falls and Tom (Jane) Ellis of Kansas City, Kansas; and two sisters, Pat Pitt of Riverside, California and Tina Hergenreter of Fort Dodge, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Jo Ellis, in infancy.

He had a great love for fishing, camping, and duck hunting; and he loved his daughters. He had a wonderful sense of humor
