CEDAR FALLS - Gretchen M. Myers, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, July 16 at Western Home Communities Martin Center.

She was born August 7, 1924 in Sheldon, daughter of Dr. Judson W. and Teresa K. Bowen Myers.

Ms. Myers graduated from Postville High School and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of Iowa and her Masters of Science Degree in Library Science from Dominican University, River Forest, IL. She was employed as a Reference Librarian for the University of Northern Iowa, retiring in 1989.

Survivors include two cousins, Dale Bowen of Fridley, MN and Alice Bowen of Sioux Falls, SD.

Preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Robert Myers; a sister, Patricia; and cousin, Fr. Robert Weillsh.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church with burial in Postville Cemetery. Public visitation will occur one hour prior to services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to St Stephen the Witness Catholic Student Center.
