BABY, PLAYING AT HOME, ELECTROCUTED

SHORT CIRCUIT IN LAMP BASE CAUSES DEATH

A seven-month-old boy was accidentally electrocuted in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Sigler, 1300 Ansborough Avenue, about 2 p.m., yesterday.

The baby, Craig Allan Sigler was crawling about the floor of his home when he touched the base of a floor lamp that apparently had a short circuit in it and then completed the circuit by either touching a metal ash tray or an oil burner sitting nearby.

The fire department inhalator squad worked with their resuscitator for about a half hour before an attending physician pronounced the boy dead. The doctor administered m stimulant and worked with the firemen for several minutes before giving up the fight for the youngster's life.

Today the boy would have been eight months old.

Craig Allan Sigler was born Jan. 11, 1949, at Waterloo, the son, of Howard and Ella Sigler.

He is survived by his parents, one sister, Anita Louise, his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. (blotched type) Crow, 715 Albany Street, and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Sigler, 33 Mulberry Street.

The body is at Kearns Garden Chapel where funeral arrangements are pending.
