Mrs. Lola May Tiedman, 81, of 1002 Lafayette Street, died of complications related to arthritis at her home Friday morning. She suffered from arthritis 14 years.

She was born Jan. 15, 1868*, to John and Mary Patterson at Vincennes, Ind, and was married to Fred J. Tiedman in December, 1884, at Vlncennes. She was a resident of Waterloo 50 years and was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Scott R. Tiedman, Chicago, and Winnfield E. Tiedman, Denver, Colo; three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Miller, Sturgis, Mich.; Mrs. Mona Jones, 412 Norwood street, and Mrs. Evalyn Osheim, 949 West Seventh Street; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Her husband, a son and three daughters preceded her in death.

The body is at the Parrott Wood funeral home.

*Gravestone at Fairview Cemetery, Waterloo inscribed with 1867 as date of birth. This doesn't add up with age 81.
