Leon Byron Case, 67, of 1117 West Parker Street, died at 8:15 a.m. Friday at Allen Memorial Hospital. Death was caused by a heart ailment.

He was born Jan. 1, 1882, in Waverly, Ia., the son of Lewis and Mary Case. He was married Oct. 18, 1910, to Mabel E. Crow in Waterloo.

A member of Local 928 of the AFL Hodcarriers union, he had been in the employ of Fred N. Chapman, plastering contractor, for many years.

He is Survived by his wife; three sons, Harold, Missoula, Mont, Harris, 102 Lafayette Street, and Harry, St Paul, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. Arlene Johnson, 310 Logan Avenue, Eunice Padget, at home, and Mrs. Iva Miller, 2848 Lafayette Street; two brothers, Robert L., 612 Sherman Avenue, and Edward N., Burlington, Ia.; a sister. Mrs. Iva Larson. Port Byron, Ill., and 10 grandchildren.

Gravestone inscribed with year of birth 1883 but that doesn't add up with the age of 67.
